Love that the city listened and shut down the splash pad and fixed it VERY FAST when kids were getting hurt. Love the park, the walking trail, splash pad, basketball court, playground, it's a great place for kids bday party's (weather permittiing)
This is a wonderful, and relatively new, park in the heart of Noble, Ok. The large playground suites anyone over the age of 4-5 years old! For the younger kids there is a separate junglegym just down the hill, in the shade. This younger kids play area has turf/fake grass, which makes it comfortable for sitting and playing on. There is a long walking trail that parallells a paved skateboarding course equipped with many different obstacles and other items for tricks and jumps. New as of October 2022, is Dane Park's new StoryWalk, sponsored by Noble Public Library and the Pioneer Library System. This is such a cute idea! While you walk the paved trail, you can read the cute book "Bear Counts" on the new placards. There's also a new basketball court and Wifi/charging station. We are impressed! I love seeing these changes and improvements at one of our favorite local parks! 🌳 If you walk down to the skateboarding area and continue on the trail across Mcguire Rd. you will end up at the frisbee golf park adjacent to Hubbard Elementary. The entire park area is monitored by multiple cameras, with security lighting, making it feel safe. I usually will see a police car drive past during most of my visits, adding to my feeling of security. The splash pad is open during the summer and has a lot of fun fountains and water cannons to play with. The surface of the splash pad does get INCREDIBLY slippery when it is wet. I mean dangerously slippery, so beware. Watch small children on the edges where the water pools. These are the places that seem to be the worst for falls. My one complaint, and an important one at that, is that on several occasions the restrooms have been locked. Not a good thing when you have small children staying hydrated at a park. In the times that they have been unlocked, they have been disgustingly dirty, smelly, and sometimes unuseable due to abuse of the facility. This is more of a complaint and comment on the citizens who think it is okay to trash public property, and less of a criticism on the poor people who work to keep it clean. Overall, I consider this the best public recreation area in Noble, and I am happy to see them continuing to make improvements!
