Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

This visit did not start off the greatest, we were told a 30min wait for a table for two. This wait ended up being an hour and 15min. Long wait times are totally understandable but accurate times would have really made this experience better. While we waited we were able to check out their cute giftshop! They had a ton to look at and their prices were really reasonable! I ended up getting some cute salt and pepper shakers. After finally being seated we were greeted right away by our server and given menu's. I loved that they offered breakfast all day. They also had a ton of selection on their lunch and dinner menu. The prices and options were both great and I had a tough time decided what to get. I ended up ordering the Haddock fish and my mom got the maple bacon grilled chicken. Both dishes had a ton of flavor!! The Haddock was cooked just perfectly and the breading was nice and light. The chicken was a very unique glaze and the bacon on top was perfectly crisp. The server came over to check in multiple times and was on top of filling our waters and bringing us boxes. I will for be coming back to try some of their other dishes.

Great food as always. Had catfish that was the best I've ever eaten. Partner had Chicken & Dumplings, a fave. We went when the Store's Holiday items were unbelievably reduced so that now part of next Christmas shopping, 2021, is a done deal! We ate outside (al fresco) due to Covid-19 and it added to the "fun" in our unplanned visit. Except for when chowing down, we were always mindful of wearing our masks. Thank you Cracker Barrel!
