I cannot say enough good things about Joey and his team at BTB. We have had some unpleasant experiences with contractors and builders in the past and entered this process with considerable anxiety. Joey and the team completely put every concern to bed. First of all, the job was done fantastically with tremendous care and hard work. Joey’s team works harder than any construction team I have ever seen. Where deadlines might come and go with other groups, Joey’s team makes them a priority — even when they weren’t a priority to us. They were on schedule every step of the way. And then they delivered an addition that we absolutely love. No shortcuts, high quality and did everything by the book. I was blown away by the communication. Fair or unfair, I don’t think contractors have a great reputation for communication. Joey was the complete opposite. At all times we knew what was happening and when. Whether it was weekly project reports that detailed progress and upcoming steps, emails with pictures of work for the day, texts from Joey or frequent in-person check-ins, Joey went above and beyond to make us feel at ease. They could have been way behind (they weren’t!) and Joey would have made up for it with peace of mind from a communication standpoint. If you’re looking to build, Building the Bluegrass would be my first and last call. They’re they best!

We loved working with this group finishing our basement. They were able to complete the project in a timely manner. Team members, Justin and Maria were easy and prompt with communication. All of the contractors were courteous and clean. Would highly recommend to anyone for home projects! They made the basement of our dreams! Ask for Maria, she was so knowledgeable about design choices and about the building process. Couldn’t have done it without her!
