Borders Masonry relocated and rebuilt my brick mailbox. The office staff was wonderful, answering all my questions promptly and accurately. I had a new brick mailbox within three days of contacting Borders. The owner showed up the morning of the rebuild and worked with me in finalizing the project. His crew of two masons got the job done within four hours and it looks wonderful! Borders Masonry exceeded my expectations. We reached out to Jerry to assist us with a complex project to remove the facia of a large fireplace and replace it with a custom-design set of pillars. Jerry was very transparent in the discussion regarding the complexity, risks and the noise/dust creation, so we went into the project fully informed. I haven’t often found a contractor that exceeded my expectations, but Borders Masonry is now on that list. Following the removal of brick due to exterior faucet plumbing repairs they replaced and repaired the brick. I was apprised beforehand that they would not be able to match the brick perfectly due to the age but they would do the best they could. When done, I could not have said that any repairs had been done. I also had them extend a short section of retaining wall, re–mortar some exterior doorway tile, and we talked about filling in some cracker retaining wall mortar, however this was left being an optional thing, and I was not anticipating this would be done. I couldn’t be there during the repairs, but was very impressed when arriving home. The brick work was done and looked much better than I anticipated, the wall was complete with a few aspects I didn’t anticipate (a downward curve to follow the soil line,) adding a small piece of brick to complete where it met another section (I was anticipating doing that myself.) and a good deal of mortaring on the remaining section of retaining wall which I was not anticipating being done. In addition, some repairs to cracking mortar/brick was done which was not even discussed. So Borders Masonry went above and beyond in my observation.
