Benedictine Brewery

We have traveled far and wide, and always enjoy sampling local beers and wines along the way. Our all time favorite craft brewery is Benedictine Brewery. A wide variety of fresh beer served in a beautiful setting and made by the monks of Mount Angel Abbey. The brewery does a great job of romanticizing their story. "The monks at Mount Angel Abbey, in the spirit of a centuries-old monastic tradition, are dedicated to our craft for a higher purpose. Using hops grown in our own backyard and pristine Oregon water, we brew in facilities located right on Abbey grounds. "It’s a place where monastic life cultivates hard work and prayer, with every bottle brewed to the glory of God. We welcome all to enjoy our beer in gatherings of food and fellowship, nourishing both the body and the spirit."

Nice stop for some serious thirst quenching on a hot day in July. Go straight for the Black Habit, a full bodied dark ale. The snacks took a while to come out as the place Was hopping (pardon the pun). There’s a nice taster pour size that is good for folks who want a smaller portion.

Great beers with a laid back atmosphere. Indoor table or outside looking over the hop fields, you can’t go wrong here. Full range of ABV beers made right here 4-9% so chose your own adventure and choose your own tomorrow while you’re at it! We’ve brought in food before and they have a good selection of snacks too. $8 meatballs are very tasty!
