This place is so cool! I wandered in today out of curiosity and am so glad I did. The owner is rad and has made the place so nice inside. She has made all kinds of mobiles and art on the wall space. They sell really cool local art/gifty things as well. The entertaining witty signage around the store is reason enough to stop in. I will definitely make this my first stop when book hunting in Salem.
Lovely as soon as we walked in the door! The owner, Andrea, greeted us and helped my son learn how to use her water dispenser. She was very warm and welcoming and so easy to talk with. The store is comfortable, well organized and has great style! I went in looking for one book, which I found (for less than half price of other stores) and left with 6 books! And she has a salon here!?! The only thing wrong with this picture is that we didn't stop in sooner; we will definitely be regulars here on out. Also, such a nice addition to the books selection are cute letter markers for alphabetization; I love this. I noticed a 'mystery book' that had bookmarks and a bunch of cute things sticking out of the mystery wrap, adorable. There was a small selection of jewelry for sale. A kids book section. And a very important part: the banned books cupboad. I wish I had stayed longer to see everything but we will definitely be back a whole bunch of times! 1000% recommend.
