This place is the best! The owners and staff make it a point to get to know their customers and go out of their way to make you feel welcome. It’s always bustling with locals and it’s easy to see why it’s so popular. The drinks are delicious and I love that they have dog treats next to the walk up window for the pups. When the patio is open in the warmer months, it’s a nice place to sit and enjoy if you have the time.
Awakenings is a fantastic local coffee shop! The coffee is consistently fresh, rich, and expertly prepared, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is warm, comfortable, and a great place to relax, meet with friends, or get some work done. It's clear they care about both the quality of their drinks and the experience they provide. I always enjoy stopping by and highly recommend Awakenings to anyone looking for excellent coffee and outstanding service.
Awakening Coffee is so much more than just a great place to grab your morning caffeine fix. The atmosphere here is incredibly welcoming, friendly, and laid-back—perfect for hanging out on the patio. What really takes this place to the next level is the awesome gravel courtyard with food trucks right on site! I recently grabbed some incredible Cajun food from Bayou Bros Cajun Boils parked out front (the shrimp, crab, and sausage boil was spot on) and paired it with a refreshing cold brew. Great service, wonderful community vibe, and fantastic food options all in one place. Whether you're coming for the coffee, staying for the food trucks, or just wanting to enjoy the outdoor seating, you won't be disappointed. Highly recommend!
Great spot for a coffee, sandwich, treat, or alcoholic beverage! I dropped into this sweet spot on a rainy Friday in October for an inside table and a real ceramic cup of hot pumpkin espresso, yum! The staff were welcoming, friendly, and informative. The many seating options were amazing. Inside/outside un/covered small and medium tables for 2-4 people were available. Inside, a small local group were holding a planning meeting for their neighborhood. Out back in the covered seating area were friendly people and their dog enjoying a hot cup of brew watching the light rain come down. Futher out back is a large area where food trucks come at different times and days seasonally. They also have a nice walk-up window in the small passage to the back outside areas. The owners host neighborhood cohesive events, like Trunk-or-Treat. My friends have been coming here for years, I'm they took me also! You need to come for a cup!
Awakening Coffee & Brew House is a true neighborhood gem! With an inviting, cozy vibe and friendly staff who make you feel right at home, it’s the perfect spot to unwind. Their top‑notch, carefully crafted coffee pairs beautifully with pastries and bites—and don’t miss their fun food cart nights or weekly Oak Grove community events. A warm, welcoming hub where great coffee and genuine community come together.
