Historic Downtown Albany is officially launching the local holiday shopping season this Thursday evening as participating merchants gather for the annual Downtown Unwrapped & Holiday Open House.
The community celebration invites residents and visitors to stroll through Downtown Albany to view newly unveiled seasonal storefront displays, enjoy open house hospitality, and take advantage of special promotions and activities extending throughout the first weekend of November.
Simultaneous Window Unveilings and Evening Festivities
The fun begins Thursday, November 5, at 4:00 p.m. as merchants officially reveal their holiday window displays, transforming historic commercial corridors into an interactive neighborhood walking tour.
Participating boutiques, specialty shops, and eateries will welcome shoppers through 8:00 p.m. Thursday night. Downtown visitors can browse seasonal inventory, sample treats, and kick off early holiday shopping while local businesses roll out weekend-long sales and hosted activities.
