In the heart of Searcy, Arkansas, Christie Brooks has created a space where health and healing go hand in hand. As the founder of Holistic Health Collective, Christie combines her 27 years of experience as a registered dietitian and 8 years as a functional medicine practitioner to offer a unique approach to wellness. Her passion for holistic, individualized care is felt by everyone who steps into the Collective, a place designed to nurture mind, body, and spirit.

Christie’s journey to founding Holistic Health Collective was anything but ordinary. Guided by her faith, she felt called to create a space where people could access alternative and functional medicine in a supportive, collaborative environment. Christie saw firsthand the importance of creating a business rooted in trust and shared growth, and that’s how Holistic Health Collective was born..

“We work with each other to build each other up. I can’t grow unless she’s growing, and she can’t grow unless I’m growing,” Christie shared, referring to the practitioners who now make up the Collective.

Holistic Health Collective offers a wide range of services aimed at promoting wellness from the inside out. From IV therapy, red light therapy, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy to functional medicine consultations, Christie and her team focus on providing personalized care for each client’s unique needs. Kaley Tafolla is a new aesthetician that has recently joined the team, offering organic skincare services, further expanding the Collective’s holistic offerings.

At the core of Christie’s practice is her dedication to addressing the root cause of health issues rather than just treating symptoms. Her focus is on three primary areas: gut health, adrenal dysfunction, and hormone imbalances—issues that she believes are often overlooked in conventional medicine. “Conventional medicine doesn’t recognize adrenal dysfunction, but that’s what got me into this field. Gut health, adrenal dysfunction, and hormones are my top three,” Christie explained.

Clients often come to Holistic Health Collective after exhausting traditional medical options. Christie sees many complicated cases where patients have been told, “I don’t know what’s wrong with you,” or have been stuck on medications that don’t address the root problem. Her approach is to work as a detective, figuring out what went wrong upstream to cause downstream symptoms. From there, she develops a customized treatment plan to restore balance and improve overall health.

What makes Holistic Health Collective truly special is its collaborative approach. Christie has partnered with nurse practitioner Jessica Wood, who shares her passion for functional medicine. Jessica, who is also certified in hormone replacement therapy, draws on her own clinical experience to complement Christie’s work. “We’re not competition. We build each other up here,” Christie said of their partnership.

In addition to working with Jessica, Christie collaborates with other local health professionals, including mental health therapists and chiropractors, to provide well-rounded care. This sense of community is key to the Collective’s success. Christie believes that no one practitioner can do it all. “You can’t educate a community alone. It takes a team, and we all bring something unique to the table,” she said.

Christie’s dedication to her clients extends beyond treatments. She’s committed to educating them about their health, ensuring that they understand why certain changes are necessary. Her initial consultations, known as “Symptoms to Solutions”, are two-hour deep dives into a client’s health history, lifestyle, and goals. From there, Christie creates a tailored plan that may include dietary changes, supplements, and lifestyle adjustments.

“I’m not a fan of just handing you a sheet of paper and saying, ‘Here, follow this,’” Christie explained. She takes the time to walk clients through every recommendation, helping them understand how their body works and what it needs to thrive. “It’s not a one-size-fits-all approach,” she added. Christie’s individualized care plans have helped countless clients achieve better health and wellness.

Since moving into its new location, Holistic Health Collective has become a growing presence in the Searcy community. The Collective’s mission is to not only treat clients but also to raise awareness about the benefits of holistic and functional medicine. With services tailored to the needs of each individual, the Collective is quickly becoming a local favorite.

As Christie continues to expand her offerings, she remains rooted in her faith and dedicated to helping her clients feel their best. “The Lord just keeps opening doors,” she reflected, “and I’m just letting Him lead the way.” For those seeking a different approach to health, Holistic Health Collective offers a path toward healing, balance, and renewed vitality.
