Dangerous and Dissapointing

I recently bought a trailer from the folks at Western in Leduc and had a pretty good experience with their sales staff. They promised that they would test all of the equipment on the trailer and go through everything when it was delivered. We picked up the trailer and drove it back to Calgary going through a pretty bad snow storm only to find out that the trailer brakes were not working properly. When we got into Calgary we discovered that there was an obvious issue with the trailer preventing the brakes from working. To make matters worse when they hitched the car and trailer together they ignored the fact that the trailer needed a 2 5/16 ball and hitched it to my 2" ball. Between these two issues, I was very lucky that my family didn't have an incident that day on the road. When I called the dealership while they did agree fix both issues they made no attempts to apologize for the mistake (and blatant lie about checking all systems) and made no attempt to make it up to us. Based on the hassle, time and downright criminal attention to basic safety I would have really expected that somehow Western would have tried to make it up to me in some way. Based on my experience I would avoid Western and go with someone who cares about your safety.
