At Timber Lynn Memorial Park in Albany, Oregon, the sky converses with the earth in a language of wings and whispers. This sanctuary, nestled near the hum of Albany Municipal Airport, balances the marvels of human flight with the natural ballet of ducks and wildlife. In moments spent among the ducklings and the drones of planes, one finds a profound peace—a reminder of life's simple, enduring rhythms. Here, every view inspires and transforms, urging us to live deeply within the fleeting now.💕✈️🚁🛩️🌲🌳
I have been coming to this park for nearly two decades and love it just as much as an adult as I did when I was a small child.
Just yesterday I spent 3 or so hours on a blanket just enjoying the breeze and sun while working on my puzzles and writing. The park is big enough that everyone can enjoy it and find a corner for some quiet.
Note to visitors: if you are going to feed the ducks and geese, bread is very difficult for them to digest. Peas or grapes are a much better alternative, and they will gobble them right up.
