We had the pleasure of attending the first Salem Area Chamber of Commerce Forum Luncheon of 2024 on Monday, January 6th. The event, presented by Hagan Hamilton Insurance and sponsored by Summit Wealth Management, was held at the Salem Convention Center in the heart of downtown Salem. A gathering of 300 local business people were in attendance. As always, the food and the service provided by Salem Convention Center was on point.

The luncheon commenced on a patriotic note with a stirring rendition of the National Anthem, performed by Greyson Matthews Eames, a Salem Chamber Ambassador and a valuable member of Solid Roofing Northwest and Salem Business Builders Inc.

Oregon Governor Tina Kotek was welcomed to the stage as the special guest. Governor Kotek shared a recap of her first year as Governor. She also provided an executive-level look at what’s happening inside the Oregon Legislature, her views on the current and future states of business in Oregon, and the key initiatives she is focused on in 2024. 

The next Forum Lunch will be held on Monday, February 12, 2024. The Salem Chamber will welcome Oregon Congresswomen Lori Chavez-DeRemer (Oregon’s 5th congressional district) and Andrea Salinas (Oregon’s 6th congressional district) to the stage to share their unique views of what it’s like to represent Oregon on Capitol Hill.
