1-Star Review of Soldera Properties, Inc.
We had a very negative experience with Soldera Properties while working through a deal with their agent, Suzanne Scott. During the appraisal, my business partner arrived at the property, and because he is Latino, Suzanne treated him as though he shouldn’t be there. Her behavior was dismissive and unprofessional. On top of that, the property listing itself was full of major inaccuracies. It misrepresented the acreage, the number of tax lots, and the zoning. After hiring an engineer and holding several meetings with both the City and County, we discovered the property was not zoned commercial, and rezoning it would mean losing about a fifth of the acreage and also tearing down the existing house. The listing also claimed there were three tax lots when in reality there was just one, with the other two being nothing more than the driveway. Because of all this misinformation, we needed more time to complete due diligence, which pushed us past the closing date. Despite the fact that these errors were on their side, Suzanne refused to return our $10,000 earnest deposit. Only after we spent significant time and money uncovering the truth did they finally update the listing with accurate information — and I have screenshots showing the before and after to prove it. To make matters worse, when we challenged this, the principal broker of Soldera Properties threatened us by saying he had attorneys ready if we pursued the $10,000. Instead of taking responsibility and thanking us for helping make their listing accurate, they resorted to intimidation and kept the money. Be very cautious before working with Soldera Properties. Our experience shows they are unprofessional, misleading, and quick to use threats rather than accountability.
