We were driving by and decided to stop here by chance. Thankfully we did. The ride takes you through beautiful desert-like terrain and helps experience another facet of the Oregon coast. We were lucky to have Budy as our tour guide as he made the ride very enjoyable and exciting. If you want some adrenaline and a rush I would recommend the Sandliner ride. Their service is great and all their staff members are nice and friendly.
Fun time, great service, creative course! We got here a bit late so only had time for one thing and we chose mini golf. Service was fast, and super thoughtful! One of the staff even warned us about the water having some extra chlorine and the splashing from the fountain could ruin a shirt. We were thankful for that warning because we were all dressed in dark colors. What a great little mini golf course! The surface was easy to play on because it didn’t have bubbling up turf like so many other places. This was a hard quality surface (not sure what it was made of but it was great to play on and I felt like my ball was easier to control). The course is among and surrounded by lovely water features, and manicured landscaping. The course had several challenging holes but plenty of medium to easy ones, too. This is not a childish or silly course - in fact many kids may find this too hard, but it’s fun and creative! We enjoyed it immensely! Important Notes: - BYO sunscreen or pay extra in the shop - we were here in the late afternoon on a summer day and I got a little sunburned - no shade on the mini golf course - BYO water - they have bottled water for sale conveniently, because there isn’t a single place to find a drinking fountain or source to fill your own water bottle (unless they’re hiding it somewhere?) - Zero shade in parking lot so on a warm day, DO NOT BRING a PET unless you’re okay leaving all windows down the duration of your visit. Sadly, we met a mother walking her dog in the parking lot and she told us she didn’t get to join her family on the sand dunes adventure because it was way too hot to leave their dog. If there was shade, it would be fine to park and leave windows down halfway. But there is NO shade. Might be another great business opportunity to offer a little dog sitting so an entire family can enjoy an outing together and not leave one behind.
An incredible experience for a reasonable price. The giant buggy is the most affordable and great for families or individuals. It offers some excitement without a face full of sand or jarred back. The driver shares a great, informative talk as he drives. The dunes are absolutely amazing. Book online to choose time slot.
7-8-26 what an adventure with my 16 year old grandson. He approved 👍🏻👍🏻. Took the 1hour sandrail ride, our driver Brooks made it interesting and a thrill ride for us. I’m 70 and going over the peak of a dune downward at a steep angle was a thrill. I was concerned either the ride being too rough on my body, nothing to be concerned with. Comfortable seats, the seatbelt harness keeps you secure. Saw some negative review before booking for a ride, but my experience was exceptional from booking to check in to the end of the ride and thanking our driver for a great experience. Five stars were earned today.
We had an absolute blast! We booked the wrong tour at first, but called the morning of and they were able to switch our reservation over the phone. The ladies we spoke to were super accommodating and helpful. When we got there and checked in, we were able to play a half round of mini golf before needing to leave for the staging area. One of the attendants stopped us to let us know we could pick up where we left off when we got back! Trey was our driver for the rail and he was funny, informative and super nice. It was a wild ride but we are so glad we went! Next time we will book the hour! Highly recommend Sandland adventures for a fun activity!!
