Successful Event + Wonderful Staff

I organized an all day conference & evening banquet at the Salem Convention Center, and my boss and I were extremely impressed with the level of service and professionalism we experienced. Both the event coordinator and catering manager were excellent to work with via email & phone, and were equally delightful to meet in person. Friendly, responsive, accommodating, and flexible! The event itself was a success, and it was fascinating to watch the catering crew completely transform a room from a business setting to a holiday banquet in less than 20 minutes.
Above all, after chatting with several staff at different levels, it was apparent that each employee had only good things to say about the establishment, and genuinely seemed to enjoy working there. It speaks volumes about a place of hospitality when the workers themselves respect the management; How can you take care of guests if you aren't taking care of your own staff? All in all, a great experience! This place will certainly have our business again the next time we are in Salem!
