Salem Art Association is hosting a "Stroll-By Art" exhibit in lieu of gallery viewing. Follow the signs for "Stroll- By Art Exhibit " to the Windows at back of the Bush Art Barn to see paintings by 5 Salem Artists of strong, postive images of Black people, inspired by Renee Watson's book, "Piecing Me Together", a story of a young Black woman in Portland, finding her path.
Excellent show I've ever seen for public viewing. Beautiful setting in park and very clean and neat. Art works were original and not copies. Some were better than others. Jewelry prices were a little inflated, but that comes as a personal opinion. People were friendly and vendors were helpful . Easy access for wheelchairs and people could wander through exhibits at their leisure. Food vendors available, but I didn't try. Nice place with the family. Wish they did it more often.
