I found Pure Energy Group searching for a "local" company that installs back up batteries along with solar panels. Pure Energy Group is recommended by Energy Trust of Oregon and their reputation is immaculate. I left a phone message specifying what I was looking for and John from sales came out to help me. One thing that impressed me most about Pure Energy is they do not try to sell you more than you actually want or need. They designed my system based on my annual usage and the back up batteries I requested for power outages. I'm happy to announce the neighborhood has had a couple outages and my home was not affected. The transfer switch kicks on immediately in an outage and you barely notice it at all. The installers and electricians were fabulous. When Pacific Power came out to configure my smart meter, the technician said that my battery installation was the most professional he had ever seen. Pure Energy got me the top incentives going for solar from both Oregon Department of Energy and Energy Trust of Oregon. In fact, Energy Trust picked up a major portion of the back up batteries. I will also get a generous rebate on my federal taxes. I should mention that I had previously looked into getting a gas generator for back up during outages, but wasn't thrilled with the noise, maintenance or fumes. Solar battery back up is quiet, clean and has a better warranty too. I highly recommend Pure Energy for your home solar system along with battery back up for outages. BTW, my electric bill is now just the base monthly fee and taxes, less than $15 per month. My panels are producing all the electricity that I consume.
