5-Star Review of Northwest Eugene Family Dental - Shawn Eckstrom DDS

I would give this place a 10/10 if I could! I called on Friday, 7/17/26, after breaking a filling. I’m from Roseburg, and being 31 weeks pregnant on top of working as a loan officer, my smile is incredibly important to me. The doctor was amazing. He got me in first thing on Monday, 7/20/26, and took the time to explain the entire process, which really put me at ease. Every member of the staff was kind, welcoming, and professional. One thing I especially appreciated was how transparent they were about the cost. They went over exactly what my insurance covered and what my out-of-pocket cost would be before treatment, which I really valued. If I lived in Eugene, this would absolutely be my regular dental office. They made such a great impression that I would genuinely consider making the drive just to continue receiving care here. It was an outstanding experience from start to finish! Before and after pictures below!

I love going to the dentist! Dr. Eckstrom and the staff here are wonderful, kind, and caring. The office has a calm atmosphere, and they all really care about your dental wellbeing.

Great dental practice. Dr Eckstrom and staff are awesome! I would have given 5 stars except for the fact that they are very busy and it is hard to get appointment times to your liking.

Again, i had a great experience. I came back to get 2 old fillings replaced. The staff was amazing, dr. Eckstrom is very personable and professional. I never thought i would say that i am happy to get my teeth drilled on but i truely feel like they care and do great work. The office and care spaces are clean, well organized and up to date.

I was unhappy with my current Dentist so I googled a Dentist on River Rd since I live down the street, and read the reviews. But Wow, what a great decision I made! I Love the office. It was clean, trendy and decorated nicely, and all the employees were professional and extremely friendly too. This was my first time here and I was impressed with the Dr’s soft touch and bedside manner. The costs were affordable and I left with a plan of action in place. My appointment for a filling is out 2 months, but I don’t mind waiting because of the exemplary service I received, The Dental Asst was top notch too. She explained everything and treated me as though I have much value. I didn’t know you could actually like going to the Dentist. Can I just come and hang out at your office. Lol Thank you for your kindness in a world where kindness is secondary. I will tell all my friends what a great place you have here.
