Dr Carroll thoroughly tested/evaluated my hearing loss and fitted me with Phonak hearing aids. These aids were programmed specifically for my sound spectrum loss. I now can participate in conversations in noisy restaurants as well as hearing chirping birds in the woods! Never realized what I had been missing. What is it worth to be able to clearly hear again?
Anita takes time to evaluate thoroughly her clients’ hearing losses, and then fits and sets up the appropriate hearing aids. Her follow up appointments address issues as they come up, rather than simply turning users loose to figure out how to work their hearing aids. My aids are incredible. I hear so much better, and love the natural tonality of what I hear. I am grateful for Anita’s experience and skill.
I first got hearing aids 3 years ago. While they were very helpful, my hearing continued to decline and I needed to replace them with a new model and prescription a few weeks ago. The improvement in my quality of life has been astounding! Not only is my hearing really really good now, I am feeling more energized, clear headed, and engaged in life. Conversations are much easier and more delightful and, being able to hear all the sounds of daily life (from movies to bird songs), I just feel more awake. I am so grateful for the highly professional help provided by Anita Carroll!
I had been to see two audiologists before seeing Anita Carroll. Both told me that even though I was experiencing some hearing loss in the higher ranges, hearing aids wouldn't do much for me. The difference at Hearing Solutions is that I was encouraged to bring my wife in with me, so she could talk about her experience with my hearing loss. Anita thought hearing aids could help, and she was right: they have changed my experience of being in the world. It's as if they've opened up new spaces in my brain I didn't know were there. I can hear and think more clearly. I have more energy, because it's hard to work at hearing, and now I don't have to work as hard. None of this was I aware of or prepared for. It's the best thing I've done for myself (and my wife) in a long, long time.
I am so glad I followed Anita's advice and got the newer technology hearing aids with the bluetooth feature. I was having trouble hearing on the phone and the bluetooth technology resulted in a big improvement. I also love being able to cook while talking on the phone since my hands are free.
TL;DR Dr. Carroll is awesome, personal, and helped me get custom ear plugs to improve my focus and sleep quality. They work like a charm! 25y/m recently diagnosed with ADHD. Through talking with my therapist and psychiatrist, I was informed that helping reduce noise / exposure to a lot of stimuli can improve focus at work AND help me fall asleep more easily since my mind wouldn't be trying to process everything. I.e, try ear plugs!!! The thing is, I have pretty small ears. Foam ear plugs worked okay but I had to readjust every couple minutes, and the reusable kind you get at stores hurt my ears after a while. Both were a nuisance when I was trying to sleep. I decided to look into getting a custom pair. I searched online and made an appointment with Dr. Carroll. I was able to schedule one within like 2 days and went in for a consultation. Dr. Carroll was super nice and helpful. She explained the benefits of custom plugs. They're a little expensive up front, BUT they essentially last forever and require little maintenance to clean. And they're shaped to fit your specific ears so they'll be nice and snug. She took impressions of my ear canals, sent the info to get the plugs made, and they came just a couple weeks later. I couldn't be happier with them - they fit snug, make things very quiet, don't fall out at night, and don't hurt if I leave them in overnight or while I'm working! If you or your child have ADHD I highly recommend looking into custom plugs or consulting with Dr. Carroll. Or if you'd just like to protect your hearing or focus more at work! Investment is worth it.
