Mixed Review,
I like Dr McDowell and her staff. No issues with them. My issue is with your scheduling staff. Issue #1, it is typically at least an hour to sit in the reception area before I get to the doctor, this time, close to two hours. My big gripe however is that for the first time my wife agreed to an exam at the same time with your firm. I scheduled the appointments. I told your scheduler to code BOTH appointments as medical appointments reference cataracts. At the desk I paid my $40 copay. When my wife found a parking spot ?, I paid her copay as a separate transaction. She has a different last name, that concept was too complicated for your staff. I received a $40 Check in the mail as an overpayment. My wife however received a $200 bill, saying her eye exam was declined by her insurance stating she did not have vision coverage. We knew that. We called and requested it be resubmitted as a medical claim for a cataract check, just like mine. That request was declined, with the statement that her appointment needed to originally be scheduled for that. IT WAS, THAT IS EXACTLY THE APPOINTMENT I REQUESTED WHEN I SCHEDULED THE APPOINTMENT. I will pay the $200, however, the cataract surgery I anticipate will be scheduled elsewhere. My star rating for your facility is a. 1. Gregory Covert

Eye Irritation on Left Eye Next to the Iris.
