The Artistic Center of Salem

Since its completion, The Elsinore Theatre has attracted audiences from across the region to rich entertainment. Silent cinema, vaudeville, drama, Mickey Mouse Club meetings, big-production dance shows, talkies, music, and community events — all shared this stage; extending our reputation for quality. After too many years languishing as a mere movie palace, The Elsinore has reclaimed its rightful place as the cultural and artistic Center of Salem.

A very beautiful old theater, celebrating 100 years. The architecture is amazing. The sightlines are all good no matter where you sit. The acoustic are good. I can't wait to come to more shows here.

We watched the Glenn Miller Orchestra here in March 2026. The building is an architectural beauty. The balcony is good seating to see the entire stage, especially rows A and B, however there is very little leg room in that area. You can get snacks in the lobby. Buy your tickets directly from the Elsinore website to avoid fees.
