4 Star Review By Lynda
Brew is the essence of a small business, with a customer-centric passion to stay alive throughout the year of "the plague". If you are looking for a safe, open place to have a drink with a friend, try this hidden gem. It is worth supporting and here's why: 1) It's COVID-safe: clean with bleach-water spray bottles outside on the patio and used on the small plastic tables between customers. Hand sanitizer is out and readily available, masks are required, tables and chairs are well spaced out but flexible for re-arranging depending on the size of your group (no more than 6). 2) It's open when others are not, with one or both of the husband and wife owners on site day and night. 3) Seating (while the state has ruled no inside service allowed) is on a good-sized patio most of which is currently covered by waterproof tented canopies, with sidewalls for wind and rain protection. 4) The patio is lit at night, and has one long gas fire table that adds ambiance and some warmth if you are close to it. If you are needing extra warmth, they offer light cozy fleece blankets to be returned to staff for laundering when finished! 5) It's multi-purpose, serving as a coffee shop, tap room, wine bar and cocktail lounge, and lunch stop. They offer just enough food that you won't go hungry while there. (Not pretending to be a gourmet restaurant, they offer wraps, stromboli, hummus plate, and a few other modest bites, as well as cookies, etc. for the coffee drinkers.) 6) It's friendly and accommodating, and while you order inside, they bring out your food and drinks when ready. There were a few customers there when we went (Saturday late afternoon), but it was not busy. If you want to linger to chat after your glass or cup is empty, no one will rush you out! (You bus your own table so you determine when you leave.) There's more good things to say about this humble little spot that you will no doubt discover for yourself. (Just don't tell anybody about it. I'd hate to see it get overrun.)
