Starting a business often requires a leap of faith, and for William Vazquez and Derek Allen, owners of VA Fence Pros LLC, faith is the cornerstone of their journey. Their decision to launch VA Fence Pros LLC was more than just a career move—it was built on trust, mutual respect, and a shared belief in God.

“I wasn’t even thinking about getting into the fence business at first,” Derek admitted. “But when you work with someone you enjoy, it doesn’t feel like a job anymore.” Their bond and shared faith led to their successful partnership, and one year later, they’re working hard to deliver high-quality fencing services in Searcy and Central Arkansas.

William and Derek’s transition from employees to business owners wasn’t rushed. They spent time preparing, waiting for the right opportunity. “We’d been talking about it, but the timing wasn’t right,” Derek said. Eventually, the door opened, and they knew it was time to take that leap. “We weren’t sure about it at first,” William admitted. “But we trusted in God, and we took the step.”

Their partnership started during their time working on the same crew at their previous company. Over the years, they built not only fences but also a strong working relationship. “Faith brought us together,” Derek explained. That foundation of trust, faith, and teamwork has allowed them to face challenges head-on as they build their business.

The Drive to Deliver Quality

For William and Derek, fencing is about more than just the physical labor—it’s about delivering a product they’re proud of and seeing the joy in their customers’ faces. “The joy that the customers have when they see our work… that brings a lot of joy to me,” William said. The positive feedback and satisfaction from their clients keep them motivated, even during the toughest jobs.

Being good at what they do comes with its rewards, but there’s also pride in the craftsmanship. “Once you’re good at something, you can really enjoy doing what you’re good at,” William said. The physical demands of the job can be tough, but the satisfaction of a job well done keeps them going. “There can be a lot of money in it, too. It supports our families,” William added, showing that passion and practicality can go hand in hand.

Running a fencing business is no easy task, and William and Derek face their share of challenges. The physical nature of the job is particularly demanding. “There are days when it’s 103 degrees out, and we’re digging holes,” William said, noting how difficult it can be to work in the heat. “I’m fixing to be 43, so I’m starting to feel my age,” he laughed.

Giving Back to the Community

One of the things that sets VA Fence Pros LLC apart is their commitment to the local community. In addition to running their business, William and Derek are passionate about giving back. They collaborate with several local ministries, including Completing Christ and Way of the Son, offering day labor opportunities to former addicts. “We work with ministries to help former addicts get back on their feet,” William explained. “We can call them up, give them some work, and help them earn a little extra money.”

Their dedication to helping others is deeply rooted in their faith. “As long as we give God all the glory, I think we will be able to succeed,” William said. By involving themselves in their community, they’re not only building fences—they’re building bridges for those in need.

Serving Central Arkansas

Although VA Fence Pros LLC is based in Searcy, Arkansas, their reach extends far beyond city limits. “We serve pretty much all of central Arkansas,” William said. As they continue to grow, William and Derek are committed to maintaining the same values that have guided them from day one: trust, faith, and hard work. Whether it’s a small residential project or a larger commercial job, VA Fence Pros LLC aims to provide top-notch fencing services to customers throughout the region.
