As the holiday season draws near, it’s a perfect time for the Cabot community to come together to support families in need. New Life Church (NLC) Cabot is thrilled to announce its annual Thankserving Event, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 23, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. This event is a wonderful opportunity to meet the practical needs of local individuals and families by providing Thanksgiving meal essentials through the church’s food drive.

NLC Cabot invites the community to donate a variety of non-perishable food items, which will be packaged into blessing bags to be distributed during the Thankserving event. These bags aim to spread the love and hope of the holiday season by ensuring that families in Cabot and surrounding areas have the ingredients they need for a traditional Thanksgiving meal.

The Thankserving food drive is focused on collecting specific items that will supplement Thanksgiving meals, including:

  • Green Beans
  • Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • Crunchy French Onions
  • Boxed Stuffing Mix
  • Instant Mashed Potatoes
  • Macaroni and Cheese
  • Cans of Chicken Broth

The collection period for these items runs from Oct 27-Nov. 17. Donors can conveniently drop off their contributions in boxes located in the church lobby at NLC Cabot.

All donations must be received by Nov. 17, to ensure they are prepared in time for distribution. By contributing these items, community members play a direct role in helping local families celebrate a warm and comforting holiday season.

Event Details Recap:

  • Donation Period: October 27 – November 17, 2024
  • Drop-off Location: Collection boxes in the NLC Cabot church lobby
  • Distribution Event: Saturday, November 23, 2024

Thankserving is not just about providing food; it’s about extending compassion and community support to families who may be struggling. By participating in this food drive, you help make the holiday season brighter for local families and share in the joy of giving. Together, we can help bring hope and warmth to those in need.
