How long have you been in business and what was the owner’s motivation for starting the business?
Simply Sorted Omaha was officially established in March 2024, and we’ve experienced exciting growth since then.
The idea for Simply Sorted Omaha was born from our own experiences as busy moms. Both of us understand firsthand the daily juggling act of work, family, and household responsibilities. We’ve both been there – the feeling of being overwhelmed by clutter, the struggle to find time for the things that matter most, and the constant search for ways to simplify our lives.
This shared experience led us to launch Simply Sorted Omaha with the desire to help other families in our community. We wanted to create a business that made a real difference, helping people reclaim their time and create more peaceful and enjoyable home environments, something both Allison and Megan can relate to.
• Megan Fraber (Professional Organizer & Co-Founder): As a wife and mother of three with a background in corporate management, administration, and organization, Megan brings a unique blend of skills to Simply Sorted Omaha. She understands the importance of efficient systems and leverages her experience to design organized spaces that simplify daily routines and create a sense of order. Megan prioritizes creating a calm and judgment-free experience for clients, providing streamlined systems and functional solutions that help them achieve their goals.
• Allison Brown (Professional Organizer & Co-Founder): As a mom of three, wife, and former teacher, Allison brings a unique blend of creativity and problem-solving skills to the work. With a Master’s degree in Math, she approaches organizing challenges with a logical and analytical, yet creative mindset. Allison’s passion lies in helping people reclaim their time and enhance their spaces. She excels at finding smart and innovative solutions for even the most chaotic areas.

How has the business grown since it was launched?
Since our launch, we’ve learned and grown tremendously. We’ve refined our approach, deepened our understanding of our clients’ needs, and witnessed firsthand the positive impact our work has on their lives. We’ve built strong relationships with many wonderful clients, some of whom have become repeat customers and enthusiastic referrals.
We’re constantly learning and evolving, recognizing that there’s always room for improvement. We’re committed to staying true to our core values, providing genuine value to our clients, and building lasting relationships within the Omaha community.
What do you think sets you apart from other businesses in the same industry?
What sets Simply Sorted Omaha apart is our unique approach to home organization. We deeply understand the intimate and personal nature of working within someone’s home. What do you both like about living and working in Omaha?
We both deeply value the Omaha community. Megan, a lifelong Omahan, grew up experiencing the city’s strong sense of community and its focus on family and hard work. Allison, originally from South Dakota, was drawn to Omaha by its welcoming atmosphere and the community’s emphasis on what truly matters, and the ability to do so within a city of its size.
We both appreciate the down-to-earth spirit of the people here. The sense of community is palpable, whether it’s cheering on the Huskers at a football game, supporting local businesses, or simply lending a helping hand to a neighbor. Omaha fosters a genuine connection and a sense of belonging that we truly cherish.
We’re passionate about giving back to the community that has given us so much. We believe in supporting local businesses, participating in community events, and making a positive impact on the lives of others. Living and working in Omaha allows us to connect with our community on a deeper level and contribute to the city’s vibrant and supportive environment.

What are your plans for the next five years of your business? 10? 25?
Over the next five years, Simply Sorted Omaha plans to strategically expand our team of talented organizers to meet the growing demand for our services. We also envision taking on larger-scale projects, such as more whole-house organization in shorter time frames, and assisting clients with seamless transitions during major life events, such as moves or downsizing.
Furthermore, we aim to strengthen our network of trusted business partners. We want to become a go-to resource for other businesses in Omaha, providing valuable referrals and collaborating on projects that benefit our clients.
Looking ahead to the next 10 and 25 years, we aspire to become a well-established and highly regarded organizing company with deep roots in the Omaha community. We envision a future where Simply Sorted Omaha is synonymous with exceptional organization and a commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of our clients and the community as a whole.
If you could choose one thing you enjoy most about your business, what would it be?
Without a doubt, the most rewarding aspect of running Simply Sorted Omaha is the incredible people we get to connect with. We cherish the collaborative relationships we’ve built with our amazing clients and business partners.
We’ve shared countless laughs, stories, and smiles with our clients during our organizing journeys together. Witnessing the positive emotional impact of our work – the sense of relief, the renewed sense of calm, and the joy of reclaiming their space – is truly fulfilling.
Each client leaves a lasting impression on us. We remember their unique personalities, their organizing challenges, and the positive transformations we achieved together.

If you could give other business owners a piece of advice, what would it be?
We’re not saying that you must be passionate about every single aspect of your work, but understand your overall goal and the passion that drives it. Be absolutely passionate about your mission and the impact you want to make. When you’re truly passionate about your purpose, it shows in your interactions with clients and in the quality of your service.
Never stop moving forward. Challenges are inevitable in any business. Embrace them as opportunities for learning and growth. Trust in your decisions, but also be open to adapting and evolving as needed.
Surround yourself with a supportive network of people who share your values and understand your vision. Seek out mentors and collaborators who can challenge your ideas and provide valuable feedback, helping you grow and improve.
Engage in your community, don’t hesitate to ask for help when you need it, and remember that it’s okay to not know everything. Continuously learn, seek out mentors, and embrace the opportunity to grow and improve.
