As the holiday season approaches, the spirit of giving comes alive in Cabot, Arkansas. The Criswell-Robinson American Legion Post 71, in collaboration with Rodney’s Cycle House, is spearheading the 40th Annual Toys for Tots campaign. This initiative aims to bring joy to underprivileged children across the state, ensuring they experience the magic of Christmas.

For nearly four decades, the Legion Riders of Post 71 have been dedicated to collecting toys for children in need. Their commitment is matched by Rodney Roberts, owner of Rodney’s Cycle House, who has been a cornerstone of the Toys for Tots movement for 49 years. His unwavering support has been instrumental in the campaign’s success, making a tangible difference in countless young lives.

Community members are encouraged to participate by donating new, unwrapped toys. Donations are accepted from now until Dec. 6th at the following location:

Criswell-Robinson American Legion Post 71
600 N Grant Street
Cabot, AR 72023

The post is open Monday through Saturday, from 8 a.m.-12 p.m., providing ample opportunity for donors to drop off their contributions.

Motorcycle enthusiasts have a unique opportunity to combine their passion with philanthropy. On December 6th, riders will gather at Rodney’s Cycle House, located at 8120 Doyle Springs Road, Little Rock, AR. The convoy is set to depart at 2 p.m., making its way to Toy Hill, a central collection point for the Toys for Tots campaign. This parade not only symbolizes unity but also raises awareness for the cause.

The Toys for Tots program has a profound impact on the community. In 2023, the Little Rock chapter distributed 24,795 toys, supporting 19,476 children. These numbers highlight the generosity of Arkansans and the importance of continued support to reach even more children in the current year.

Your participation, whether through donating a toy or joining the motorcycle parade, plays a crucial role in brightening the holidays for children in need. For more information on the Toys for Tots program and its initiatives in Arkansas, visit the official website.

This holiday season, let’s come together as a community to ensure every child experiences the joy and wonder they deserve.
