If you’re a professional football fan, you probably know that the best way to watch all your favorite games is to get NFL Sunday Ticket. However, it may not make sense for you to get it at home—or you may just want to spend a Sunday out with all your football-loving friends in an environment with plenty of drinks, great food, and all the games on at once. If you’re not sure where to go, we’re here to help you out! We checked out some of the best places in Omaha to go to watch the game and some extra info that will help you choose your favorite hangout.

If huge crowds of rowdy fans is what you’re looking for, search no further! IceHouse Sports Bar, located right off 109th and Maple, has it all: more than 20 TVs, each labeled with the game currently playing, Keno (to stay entertained during half time, of course), more than 21 beers on tap, and fantastic food.

Keep in mind this places gets BUSY so you might want to arrive around 11:30 on Sunday to secure a table—especially if you have a large group. Make sure you plan to eat while you watch the game, too, as IceHouse has made-from-scratch pizza, never-frozen burgers, and a huge selection of apps (plate-o-bacon, anyone??). They also offer domestic buckets specials and $4 select shots on Sunday.

Looking for something slightly more low-key for your Sunday watching entertainment? Head to Rookies Bar & Grill near 120th & Blondo. Smaller than IceHouse and less packed, Rookies still has all the games playing on more than 20 TVs along with ample seating, a fun circle bar, and great food and drink prices (where can you get a pork tenderloin sandwich for under $11 these days??).

The bar also has very friendly service, Keno, and a pool table and dart boards just in case you need to indulge in your competitive spirit while watching your favorite team win (or lose?). When the weather is nice, you can also enjoy their large outdoor patio.

You may have heard of Report In (located in the Bel Air Plaza) for their famous Bloody Mary’s, but did you know this fun little neighborhood bar also carries the Sunday Ticket? This is a great place to watch your favorite team play on the multiple TVs while indulging in a craft beer. There’s always a rotating, seasonal beer menu here, so you never have to have the same beer twice!

Ready to start your Sunday off right? Head to Report In early for their fantastic brunch (served from 9 am to 1 pm). The menu is filled with breakfast faves like French toast, chicken fried steak, country skillets, and biscuits and gravy. Fill up on hearty fare so you can take some breakfast shots before your favorite team takes the field!

One of the best-kept secrets of Aksarben Village, Pauli’s Sports Lounge is tucked away in an unassuming corner near Backlot. It’s an Omaha sports bar, meaning there is Mavericks and other local sports team memorabilia covering the walls and making all UNO fans feel at home.

It’s also got a bar that’s made for congregating and cheering on your favorite team, Keno, and ample seating. Though Pauli’s doesn’t have a kitchen, they do let you bring in whatever food you want and, on Sunday game days, they offer free food (the day we went in it was chili dogs and chips). You can also offer from nearby Beacon Hills and the staff will bring the food to you. Pauli’s also has a popcorn machine so you have something to snack on.

When the weather is nice, you can also enjoy the Pauli’s patio, a perfect people-watching spot in the heart of Aksarben Village. This is the perfect place to watch the game for those who live in the area or who just want an out-of-the way spot to enjoy their game in peace.

Back to the crazy bars!! If tons of yelling fans is the ideal way for YOU to watch your football on Sunday, you can head to any of the six DJ’s Dugouts in the Omaha area. We headed to the one in Aksarben for this article, but you can expect pretty much the same environment at each.

DJ’s always has great specials on food and drinks. On Sundays during the games, they offer $8.00 32 oz draws, loaded Bloody Mary specials, and $9.99 chicken strip baskets. You also won’t have any trouble finding your game on the multitude of televisions and can play Keno if you need some extra excitement.

This is another bar that you might to head to a little early or try to time your visit between games so you can be guaranteed a seat.

How can you beat an Irish pub for a craft beer, fantastic food, and all the football games you want? Well, you can’t…especially if that pub is Cunningham’s. Most people know the original Cunningham’s, which has been located at 108th and Dodge since 2010, but some may not know they recently opened a second location in Blackstone. And, with the construction going on in that area, they (and all the businesses around there) could really use all the business they can get!

Cunningham’s has a HUGE beer selection helpfully sectioned out on the menu by categories like malty/dark, hoppy/bitter, and easy drinking. They also have $5 cocktails on tap on Sundays and Sunday brunch featuring yummy breakfast burgers, bread pudding sticks, and biscuit chicken sandwiches.

With more than 20 TVs, a warm and inviting atmosphere, and one of the best beer selections in town, you simply can’t go wrong with a Sunday at Cunningham’s!

No matter what team you’re rooting for (may I suggest the Bengals?), you can always know you’ll be able to watch them play on Sundays at any of these fantastic local bars. Do you have a favorite place to watch Sunday Ticket that’s not on the list? Send it to Angela@PixelFireMarketing to be included on a future list!
