Nick Hebrew and Jen Tobey believe business owners should focus their energy on what’s most important…running their businesses well. How can they possibly do that if their days are constantly interrupted with facilities needs and maintenance issues? Unfortunately, the need to keep the office or shop smoothly functioning, clean, and appealing to clients can be a frustrating, but necessary distraction, especially for small business owners.

That’s why Nick and Jen brought System 4 Nebraska to Omaha. This unique franchise has successfully helped businesses across the country outsource their facilities operations and management, saving them time and money and reducing stress. Since they opened System 4 Nebraska in September of 2023, business owners in Omaha and across the state have access to these services.

How Does System 4 Work?

System 4 Nebraska joins the ranks of the long-standing System 4 franchise, one with 40 years of experience in the industry. As the local franchise owners, Nick and Jen source local talent and tradesmen, from painters to carpenters, electricians to plumbers, that meet the highest standards of professionalism and skill right here at home.

If a business owner has a problem with his facility, all he must do is log onto the System 4 platform, click a few buttons, and the needed service is scheduled. Nick and Jennifer will handle everything, freeing the client to go back to the tasks of running his business with complete confidence. In addition to emergency maintenance care, System 4 Nebraska offers a green-certified line of cleaning products and corporate cleaning services.

Nick knows that “we’re only as good as the people that we’re putting in and assigning these contracts,” so his top priority in launching and establishing System 4 Nebraska has been building partnerships with professionals who will provide the services his clients need.

When Nick is vetting potential providers, he’s always on the lookout for those who are go-getters, businesses that are looking to grow. Plenty of opportunities are on the horizon for those who want to help their companies reach the next level, and the collaboration between System 4 Nebraska and these service providers is a win for everyone.

Because of these partnerships, System 4 can essentially solve any problem inside or outside their building, they are able to provide seven-days-a-week service at a lower cost than businesses can get by making the calls themselves. They utilize the latest in technology to streamline and expedite the process of getting clients’ needs met quickly, from QR codes in the facilities they service to online work requests.

Their services can help meet the needs of any type of business, and already they are serving in industries as diverse as daycares, nursing homes, and automobile dealerships.

Picking up the Pace

Launching any new business takes a tremendous amount of hustle and putting oneself out there. After working in sales since 2005, Nick was ready for the challenge and opportunity to go into business for himself. He began by asking, “What can we bring to the Omaha community that isn’t already here? What can we offer that will be mutually beneficial for the client and for us?” His research led him to discover the tremendous demand for commercial cleaning services, but among all the companies already operating in the area, none offered the facilities maintenance and repair component that System 4 had.

Getting the company off the ground has taken a tremendous amount of getting out there, prospecting and networking. Securing those initial clients may have been the trickiest part. Nick described companies wanting to take a “wait-and-see” approach to System 4 Nebraska at first, but once a few companies became willing to give them a chance, they saw the quality of work provided, the attentive customer service, and the time and cost savings. Then the news spread like wildfire. “And then you’re getting calls left and right. It’s been exciting to see that organic type of growth result from the work we’ve put in.”

The Bigger Picture

During the initial stage of his business, Nick and Jennifer continue to work long hours and do the work of a full team with just the two of them. As System 4 Nebraska establishes its presence, continues to meet customers’ needs, and builds its reputation for professional excellence, Nick looks forward to expanding their in-house team to carry out operational tasks, and Nick will shift to an oversight role while maintaining the client-facing aspects of the business.

Nick is excited about the opportunities for the positive impact he can have in the entrepreneurial community of Omaha, and as they grow, across the state. Not only is he helping businesses save time and money, but every service provider he contracts with is going to expand its income, its reputation, and its workload. System 4 is a catalyst for growth as it offers “facilities services management simplified.”
