Christina Davis, owner of Flawless Ink, is on a mission to help women feel beautiful, confident, and empowered. Based in Searcy, AR, her permanent makeup studio offers services designed to enhance natural beauty while catering to the needs of women who’ve faced unique challenges—especially breast cancer survivors. For Christina, it’s more than just a business; it’s a deeply personal journey.
Christina’s path to becoming a permanent makeup artist wasn’t a typical one. For years, she was a stay-at-home mom, focusing on raising her children and caring for her in-laws. Her entry into the beauty industry was inspired by her two sisters, both seasoned professionals—one specializing in lashes and the other in hair.
But it was her mother-in-law’s experience that truly set Christina on her current path. After a mastectomy over 40 years ago, her mother-in-law was left with a pale, outdated tattoo in place of her areola. This insecurity deeply affected her self-esteem. “From the first time she told me her story, my heart broke,” Christina says. “I thought, as a woman, and everything we go through, she shouldn’t have had to live with that.” This moment became Christina’s driving force, leading her to focus on 3D areola tattoos for breast cancer survivors.
Her goal is to give women the confidence her mother-in-law struggled to find. “My end goal is to make sure there’s not a woman in the surrounding area who has to go through breast cancer and lose her breast without feeling whole again in the future,” she shares. Christina hopes to eventually offer this service completely free for women who’ve battled breast cancer, ensuring no one has to choose between their medical bills and feeling like themselves again.
At Flawless Ink, Christina offers a range of permanent makeup services, each designed to bring out the natural beauty in every client. From eyebrow tattoos to permanent eyeliner and lip tinting, Christina’s work is focused on subtle enhancements rather than bold, fleeting trends. Her philosophy is simple: beauty should be timeless.
“I always start out very natural,” she says. “Just because you get your eyebrows tattooed doesn’t mean you’re never going to have to fill them in.” For Christina, it’s about creating a foundation that complements her clients’ features, not overpowering them.
In addition to permanent makeup, Christina also offers henna brows and permanent jewelry. These additional services give her clients affordable and stylish options that suit different preferences and needs. Her eyebrow services, for example, start at $350 for the first session, followed by touch-ups. For those looking for a more temporary option, henna brows are available as well.
While Christina offers a variety of beauty services, her passion lies in helping breast cancer survivors reclaim their confidence through 3D areola tattoos. These specialized tattoos help women who have undergone mastectomies feel more like themselves again. Christina’s commitment to making this service accessible to all women in need is evident in everything she does.
“I hope I can get to the point where a woman, or a thousand of them, can walk in here, and I can do it for them at no charge,” she says. “If I can help one woman feel more like a woman, and not feel like my mother-in-law did, then it would all be worth it.”
Christina’s heartfelt dedication to breast cancer survivors is clear. Her work isn’t just about appearances—it’s about restoring a sense of self-worth and helping women feel whole again after the trauma of cancer. She’s already begun working toward that goal, with plans to expand her outreach in the community.
One of Christina’s biggest challenges has been educating the community about permanent makeup. Many people still have misconceptions about the process, associating it with painful tattooing or unnatural results. Christina is quick to reassure her clients that today’s techniques are far more advanced.
“People think it’s painful, but we numb you, and while you’ll feel something, every woman I’ve worked with says it’s worth it,” Christina explains. She also addresses the concerns about how permanent makeup will look as you age. “Some worry that when they get older, their brows will be up here, but it doesn’t work that way. Wherever we tattoo you, the skin moves with the tattoo.”
Christina emphasizes that permanent makeup has evolved significantly, especially compared to older methods that often led to fading or discoloration. “Technology has come so far. I had a lady come in who had her eyeliner done 15 years ago, and it had turned green. We don’t use straight black anymore because we’ve learned that it turns green over time,” she shares. “It’s really suitable for anyone over the age of 18 now.”
Christina is quickly building a reputation for her meticulous work and caring approach. She’s been steadily gaining clients since she graduated from her program in August 2024, and she’s excited to keep growing Flawless Ink. She hands out business cards and talks to potential clients, determined to spread the word about her services.
“I’m still working on getting my name out there,” she admits. “I know there’s a high demand for what I do, but I also know that there’s a need for more education.” By offering affordable, high-quality services and educating her community about the benefits of permanent makeup, Christina is laying the foundation for long-term success.
In the meantime, Christina continues to expand her offerings, like adding henna brows and permanent jewelry, to attract more clients and meet their needs. Her vision is to make Flawless Ink a go-to spot for women in Searcy who want to feel confident and empowered through beauty.
Christina Davis isn’t just building a business—she’s creating a space where women can feel beautiful, strong, and supported. Through Flawless Ink, she’s bringing modern, natural-looking permanent makeup to Searcy, while also working toward her dream of providing free 3D areola tattoos to breast cancer survivors. With a focus on empowerment and a commitment to her clients, Christina is making a lasting impact on her community, one confident woman at a time.
