The Cabot Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the return of its annual Christmas Open House, set for Sunday, Nov. 24th, from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. This beloved event, a cornerstone of the local holiday season, is even bigger this year with extended hours, giving shoppers more time to explore the participating businesses and take advantage of all the special offers available. It’s the perfect way to kick off your holiday shopping while supporting the local businesses that make our community thrive.

For those who are unfamiliar, the Christmas Open House is a one-day event organized by the Cabot Area Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Cabot Advertising and Promotion Committee. The goal is to promote “Shop Cabot 1st” by encouraging people to visit local businesses and see what they have to offer. Participating businesses open their doors to the public, offering holiday discounts, giveaways, refreshments, and a festive atmosphere that makes the whole day feel like a community-wide celebration. Whether you’re looking for unique gifts or just want to soak up the holiday spirit, this event is a fantastic opportunity to connect with local shops and get a jump on your seasonal shopping.

This year, the extended hours mean more time to shop and explore all that Cabot has to offer. From 11 a.m.-5 p.m., you can visit as many participating businesses as you like, and each visit comes with the chance to win exciting prizes. Shoppers will receive a grand prize entry ticket just for stopping by each participating business—no purchase necessary. For every $20 you spend at any Chamber member business during the event, you’ll receive additional entries into the grand prize drawing, giving you even more chances to win. The grand prize drawing will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 26th, during a Facebook LIVE session on the Chamber’s page. In addition to the grand prize, there will be four other drawings for $100 gift cards to any participating business of the winner’s choice, making this a day where shopping local really pays off.

But that’s not all. This year, Santa’s elves will be making surprise visits to participating businesses throughout the day. If you’re spotted shopping locally, you could win a gift card on the spot, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event. It’s just another reason why the Cabot Christmas Open House is such a fun and rewarding experience for the whole community.

The Chamber is pulling out all the stops to make sure the event is well-publicized, with promotions across social media, radio, newspapers, and signage around town. Local businesses have a great opportunity to shine and attract new customers, as the Open House always draws a crowd. For businesses interested in participating, it’s important to note that you must be a member of the Cabot Area Chamber of Commerce. If you’re not yet a member but would like to get involved, now is the perfect time to sign up. You can contact the Chamber at (501) 843-2136 to learn more about membership and participation. Participation in the event is free, but businesses are asked to donate an item for the grand prize gift basket—something that showcases your products and encourages people to visit your store.

The deadline for businesses to sign up is Friday, Nov. 8th, so don’t wait. This is a fantastic opportunity to get your brand in front of local shoppers and be part of one of the biggest holiday events in the area.

The Cabot Christmas Open House is more than just a shopping event—it’s a celebration of our community and the spirit of supporting local businesses. As the holidays approach, there’s no better time to discover the unique products and services that Cabot has to offer, all while enjoying a day of festive fun. Make sure to mark your calendars for Sunday, Nov. 24th, and get ready to shop local, win big, and enjoy a memorable kickoff to the holiday season.
