To help consumers find your business on WhirLocal, you can add what you do and where you do it to your business profile.

This video shows you how.

Some industries are required by state or federal laws to post license numbers or legal notices.

Contractors, for example, may need to post their state license number to avoid getting fined by the state board.

Attorneys may want to post a legal notice or disclaimer that notifies users that when they fill out a form or contact them it does not establish a legal relationship with the firm.

We’ve made it easy to include this information on your business profile and landing pages.

Show your pride and support of local businesses by adding a “WhirLocal” badge to your website.

We’ve created multiple badges for you in the Affiliate area. You can download the code for any of the badges and give it to your webmaster.

For example:

Not only will you be showing your support for local businesses, but the badges already have your built-in affiliate code. That means that if somebody clicks on the back and signs up for a a free account, and then upgrades to a paid account, you get paid for the referral.

So, you’ve signed up for WhirLocal, and you realize you’re the first one in your neighborhood. Now what?

It might not seem like it, but guess what? This is an awesome position to be in. You have a chance to take a leadership position in your local neighborhood and help other local businesses and organizations thrive online.

We’re looking for local leaders and influencers who aren’t afraid of doing something a little crazy in order to get their first follower, and then the next follower, and then before we know it we can start a movement.

There are a lot of forces that are trying to make it difficult for small businesses across the country; Government red tape, regulations, taxes, and a mindset that lumps all small businesses in with corporate America.

By working together with other local businesses in the neighborhood, we are building stronger local communities, one neighbor at a time.

Who will be your first follower?

You know what else? Not only can you be a local influencer and help build stronger communities, but you can also get paid for any of your referrals that sign up for a paid membership package. Check out our affiliate program for more information.

Most local organizations rely on word-of-mouth referrals. Our guess is that you’re no different.

Here’s a quick video to show you how to do it
