Do you have trouble drinking enough water throughout the day? Drinking water is one of the most important things you can do for your health, yet many people struggle with drinking water regularly because they don’t feel like they have time, they forget, or they don’t enjoy it. Let’s go over 10 simple ways to make drinking water an easier task!

1. Carry water with you

Our first tip is to carry water with you in a water bottle or water jug so that you always have water to drink. You can also keep a water bottle on your desk or in your car so it’s easily accessible!

2. Drink a large glass of water right after waking up

Drinking water right when you get out of bed is a great way to start the day with hydration. It can also help you wake up quickly, lessen fatigue throughout the day, and flush out toxins.

3. Replace soda with sparkling water or seltzer

One way to add more water into your diet is by swapping out sodas or caffeinated drinks for sparkling water or seltzer water. These drinks are often carbonated and flavored, so they can be refreshing while still helping you hydrate!

4. Add fruit for flavor and nutrients

Another easy way to drink more water is by adding fruit (or select vegetables) for flavor and additional nutrients. Add lemon or lime juice, cucumber slices, strawberries, watermelon, pineapple chunks or any other fruits you like!

5. Try water enhancers to add a fun flavor

If water isn’t your favorite beverage, there are a variety of water enhancers on the market that can give it a more exciting flavor. However, keep in mind that many water enhancers may contain high amounts of artificial sweeteners and colors, so consider only using these in moderation.

6. Create a water schedule

If you’re a planner or list person, add “Drink water” into your daily schedule at regular intervals (i.e., every 2 hours). This will help ensure water is always on your mind.

7. Download an app

There are many apps out there today that make drinking water less of a chore and more of an interactive experience. Some water apps will remind you to drink water at regular intervals and track your progress, while others offer fun facts about water or games (like watering a virtual garden) that help make drinking water more enjoyable.
