Watch for any red bumps on the body that are shiny on the top of the skin. You may also notice a red bump that is rough and feels scaly or itchy.

- Basal cell carcinoma: Pearly or waxy bump on the skin, a flat and rough patch on the skin, or a sore that bleeds and doesn’t fully heal.
- Squamous cell carcinoma: Signs include a firm red nodule, a scaly or crusty lesion with irregular borders, or a painful or itchy skin lesion.
- Melanoma: Signs include changes in the appearance of a mole (usually irregular edges, growing size, change in color, or abnormal shape)
