In Searcy, Arkansas, K&K Aesthetics has become a go-to destination for those seeking aesthetic and wellness treatments. What began as a side project for sisters Kori and Kalyn has grown into a flourishing business that not only enhances appearances but also uplifts confidence and community spirit.
Kori, a Nurse Practitioner, and Kalyn, a Registered Nurse, both spent years in the demanding fields of emergency and psychiatric medicine. “I was working emergency medicine in Little Rock for about eight years,” Kori shared, reflecting on her desire for change. “I had just had a baby, and I didn’t want to do the twelve-hour overnight shifts anymore.”
Kalyn, after ten years in psychiatric nursing, was also ready for a new challenge. “I loved my job, but you can only do it for so long,” she explained. The two sisters had no intention of leaving nursing entirely but were searching for a way to use their skills in a different environment. The solution came in an unexpected form when Kori stumbled upon a training program in Texas for Botox and dermal fillers.
“We weren’t even sure what we were going to do with it,” Kalyn admitted. “We thought it might just be a little weekend gig. But after we took the training, everything moved really quickly.”
K&K Aesthetics opened its doors three years ago in a small two-room space. At first, Kori and Kalyn were balancing their aesthetic work with their nursing jobs, working overnight hospital shifts and squeezing in client appointments during the day. “I was working at the hospital at night and coming in to do people’s faces the next morning,” Kori recalled. “We were just trying to build up enough clients so we could make this our full-time thing.”
The community responded in ways they hadn’t expected. Word spread quickly, and before long, they had outgrown their original location. Today, K&K Aesthetics operates from a much larger facility, offering a wide range of services. “We’ve been able to add so many amazing team members and expand our services,” Kori said.
In recognition of their exceptional work, K&K Aesthetics has been awarded Best Cosmetic Aesthetics by the Searcy Daily Citizen Reader’s Choice Awards for three consecutive years. “It’s been amazing to see the community support us like this,” Kori shared. “We’re truly grateful, and it motivates us to keep delivering the best care possible.” This achievement highlights the trust they’ve built in the local area and their ongoing commitment to high-quality service.
While K&K Aesthetics is known for its Botox and filler treatments, their offerings go far beyond that. The business also provides IV therapy, teeth whitening, vitamin injections, hormone replacement, weight loss programs, and cryotherapy. “A lot of people still don’t know about the wellness side of what we do,” Kalyn pointed out. “They don’t realize we offer so many different services, and it’s not just about aesthetics.”
One of the things that sets K&K Aesthetics apart is their dedication to making these services accessible to a wide range of clients. “Before we started this business, we couldn’t have afforded to get these kinds of treatments done,” Kori said. “So we make a point of offering services at prices that are more affordable than what you’d find in larger cities like Little Rock.”
The sisters frequently run specials and promotions to help make their services more attainable. “A lot of our clients wait for our specials,” Kalyn added. “We always try to find ways to make it more affordable for everyone.”
For Kori and Kalyn, the success of K&K Aesthetics isn’t just measured in client bookings but in how they can give back to the community. “From the start, we knew we wanted to be able to give back once we reached a certain point,” Kori shared. And they’ve followed through on that commitment.
Over the past year, K&K Aesthetics has given out four scholarships to local seniors pursuing careers in the medical field. They’ve also organized back-to-school drives, including a recent “Bingo Bash” that provided school supplies and backpacks for local kids. Looking ahead, they’re planning a holiday drive to help provide Christmas gifts and winter coats for children in need.
“Giving back has always been really important to us,” Kalyn said. “We’ve had so many people support us along the way, and we want to do the same for our community.”
What makes K&K Aesthetics truly special is the close-knit, family-like atmosphere that Kori and Kalyn have cultivated within their team and with their clients. “Everyone here is like family,” Kalyn shared. “Coming to work is fun, and it doesn’t even feel like work most days.”
Their clients aren’t just names in a booking system. They are people with stories, insecurities, and aspirations. “We get to help people with things they’ve been insecure about for years, sometimes since they were teenagers,” Kalyn said. “And when they leave feeling more confident, it’s just the best feeling.”
Kori agreed, adding, “We have clients who come in and open up about things they’ve been dealing with their whole lives, and we’re able to give them options they didn’t even know existed. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the difference it makes.”
The relationships they’ve built with their clients go beyond just aesthetics. “It’s like therapy,” Kalyn laughed. “We know about their kids, their families, everything. They’re more like friends than clients.”
Even after three years in business, Kori and Kalyn feel like they’ve only just begun. “We’ve been here for three years, and there are still people in Searcy who don’t know we exist,” Kori said. But they’re working hard to change that. In addition to their Facebook and Instagram presence, they regularly attend local vendor events and fairs to spread the word about their services.
“We’ve built a great base, but there’s still so much more potential in Searcy,” Kalyn added. “We know there are people who travel to other cities for the same services we offer, and we want them to know they don’t have to do that. They can get high-quality treatments right here at home.”
As K&K Aesthetics continues to grow, the sisters remain focused on their mission: to help people feel their best, give back to the community, and build lasting relationships with everyone who walks through their doors.
