Looking for a meaningful way to spend an afternoon while supporting a great cause? On Friday, September 20, 2024, from 3:30 to 4:45 PM, head over to the new Janett & Larry Crain Memorial Library at 1609 W. Beebe Capps Expressway for a special fundraiser hosted by Conley Graphics and the White County Literacy Council. The event will feature a live reading of the book Cam’s Colorful Adventure, an exciting and educational story for children.

For just $3, attendees will receive their own copy of the book, along with fun extras such as coloring pages, DIY bookmarks, and stickers. The proceeds from this event will go towards supporting the White County Literacy Council and its mission to promote literacy within the community.

The inspiration for this event came from a heartfelt place. Daniel Conley, one of the owners of Conley Graphics, shared that his mother used to help people learn to read from her own home, which made partnering with the Literacy Council a perfect fit. This collaboration aims to give back to the community in a meaningful way by fostering literacy and education for all.

Aside from the live reading, the event will also offer interactive activities for children, including crafting DIY bookmarks and coloring. It’s a wonderful opportunity to get kids involved in creative projects while supporting a local cause.

This event marks the beginning of what could become a series of literacy fundraisers, but for now, it’s the only one on the calendar. If it’s successful, Conley Graphics may look into organizing similar events in the future.
