SEARCY, Ark. — Mothers in Searcy are invited to join a special “Mommy and Me” workout session hosted by Makenzie Vandergrift on Saturday, Sept. 14, from 9 to 10 a.m. The event will be held at 4 Mile Hill Taekwondo, 2274 AR-16, Searcy, AR. This free class provides moms a chance to exercise with their children in a supportive and fun environment.
“I know how it feels being a stay-at-home mom—it gets lonely,” Vandergrift said. “I wanted to offer a way for moms to connect, get moving, and bring their babies along. It’s a great way for us to come together as a community.”
Vandergrift, who is new to Searcy, designed the workout with all mothers in mind. “It’s for any woman—pregnant, postpartum, or otherwise—as long as you’re cleared by your doctor. You can come out and join us,” she said.
The session is designed to involve both moms and babies, offering exercises that include the little ones. Vandergrift added, “I’ve put together routines that allow you to work out with your baby, so both of you can participate. It’s a fun bonding experience.”
The class takes place on a large mat inside 4 Mile Hill Taekwondo. “There’s no need to bring any equipment—just yourselves and a water bottle,” she said.
Moms who are interested are encouraged to attend, and no pre-registration is required.
