Dr. Hector and Dr. Krystal are experienced and excellent dentists. Dr. Krystal is the smile specialist and smile "perfectionist". If it isn't perfect, it's not good enough! After several years of neglecting my teeth, I was shocked at the cost,in the U.S., to replace a failing bridge, fill a few cavities, and partial upper and lower dentures to fill in the missing teeth. At just under $60k the mind boggles at how or why this costs so much. This did not include having already paid for emergency treatment for three root canals and crowns, nor the 6 lower front teeth that were badly worn, all needing crowns. Talking to friends and family, and scouring the internet, the idea of inexpensive dentistry in Mexico became a viable option. Subsequent recommendations from snowbirds in Arizona pointed me to Los Algodones where I found Venus Dentistry. I had an exam and quote by another office before I went to and subsequently chose Venus Dentistry. The free exam and treatment plan presented by Dra Crystal and Dr. Hector was a fraction of the U.S. cost and included implants, not dentures. The reason I chose Venus Dentistry was Crystal and Hector. They are intelligent, friendly and of calm demeanor. They have created an quiet and peaceful environment, with their calm and supportive instructions to their staff, the tasteful modern decor, and state of the art equipment. Easy smiles and hugs are common. Crystal and Hector both speak English as does many of their staff. However, Luis, who most frequently is the first point of contact on the phone or in the office, speaks fluent English. Crystal and Hector are a great team, as Hector does the surgery and Crystal makes the cosmetic aspect perfect and aligned. Because of this relationship, the placement and alignment of the implant was jointly decided to ensure a proper fit. It has taken 3 years, 7 implants, 3 bone-grafts, 2 more root canals, and 24 crowns to finally repair the damage I had done to my teeth. My apprehension of the implant procedure was immediately replaced with surprise at how quick and painless the procedure is, including the bone grafts. Crystal and Hector are most concerned with your comfort and will stop and do whatever is necessary to make you comfortable. The results have been remarkable.
