The River Tap & Grill

We so appreciate the River Tap and Grill here in our little town. It's kinda the only thing we have, but it's obvious that they put great thought into the menu and overall atmosphere. They have a creative drink menu, and a diversity of choices on the food menu. Everything sounds really good, but I've found the food to be hit or miss unfortunately. If it's good, it's typically really good. I've never had anything "bad". Where I've had lesser great experiences with the food would be like the sauces on things were overkill, like on the brussel sprouts. In other cases the item just wasnt a wow. Especially because some of the prices are right up there with Portland restaurants. A few things I have enjoyed there are: Burgers: super good if done right Haddock bites Greek salad with salmon The interior is cozy and the deck has nice views. There is ample parking. The staff is always nice and personable.

I had dinner with my daughter here for the first time yesterday. I was so pleased with everything! Very fresh salad, well seasoned fries and incredible vanilla cake for dessert. The cocktails were excellent, and we received great service. I will definitely be back with my husband.

Excellent, we went for the wing challenge and we're very impressed with the overall quality of food and service. Wings were large and flavorful, nachos with pulled pork so yummy. The beers on tap are fire
