Had the good fortune of being a seated next to Dame M.A. at a recent fundraiser for the Eugene Public Library Foundation.nnThrough the course of our conversation I found her to be a gracious, well-informed, and extremely well-connected representative of the Springfield Chamber.nWith rare charisma, genuine elegance, and exemplary warmth of hospitality, Dame M.A. provided excellent and insightful information about the most pertinent aspects of questions that I had as one new to the area.nnShe was sincerely welcoming; she won Springfield Chamber one more fan in the community before the evening was through.
