5 Star Review By Denise
Dr. Minkus is an amazing and caring doctor. He has gone way above what any other doctor would do to help me. Amputation runs in my family so I knew where I was headed when a biopsy on my toe wouldn’t heal. An interventional cardiologist (completely different office) diagnosed the blockages in my legs and dry gangrene on my toe. He told me there was nothing he could do; not even offer any treatment for the gangrene. I saw my PCP who directed me to the ED. Again, they did nothing but referred me to a vascular surgeon with yet another office. The new doctor again found blockages but he said he couldn’t do anything for because catheters are too big for below the knee blockages. He wasn’t willing to do anything for me. He told me to see a podiatrist and get him to get me into hyperbaric chamber. I completely gave up on doctors. I was resigned to letting the blockages take their natural course of progression. I happened to post my journey on Facebook. The admin asked me if she could have my number to pass along to Dr. Minkus. Really long story short. Dr. Minkus listened to me. He never turned me away. I’m 45 years old and my road will be long but I fully trust his opinion and I’ve never felt that way about a doctor. He was honest from the beginning! He never made promises he couldn’t keep but he has fulfilled what he has promised. Kind of reminds me of the times when someone’s word actually meant something. I still have all of my parts. He still listens to me. I’m still walking. He is always welcoming of my many questions weird or not. He’s extremely easy to talk to. I would, hands down, send my family to see him. I don’t have sufficient words to express how grateful I am to and for him.
