My experience with Servpro of Lexington has been exceptional from beginning to end. No one knows the stress and emotional toil losing one's house that you have struggled to keep going and paying your house off as you can. I got out of my house in my pajamas and house shoes. I had three dogs and ended up with two for a time. The firemen weren't able to revive one of my dogs. But a few hours later she came back to me. And was in the hospital for 6 weeks. Moving out of your home immediately with absolutely nothing is beyond stressful. And moving into a hotel with two or three dogs is also extremely stressful on them as well as myself. We moved six times within the first month following the fire until ALE helped me find a suitable apartment to spend the next 7 months. During that first month I pretty much immediately was introduced to my contractor. This was David Corey in the Lexington region. He has been steadfast from day one upon meeting him until long after I moved into my home to make sure everything was perfect. He knew the turmoil that was taking place in my life and was very sympathetic to my situation. He always had my needs and this extremely stressful situation in the foreground of his mind and helped me walk through the steps that needed to happen to get my life back. He made me feel as if I was the only client he had. Again, no one knows what this feels like until you have gone through it. Once the work began he was here every day with a team of workers and from that moment forward there was someone here at the house working to get everything cleaned out of the house and that included Becky from Servpro in Lexington and her team ,packing up what was salvageable and leaving what was not salvageable. She was also extremely understanding of the situation and was very nice to work with. David Corey called me several times a week to make sure I knew what stages my house was at every step of the way. This helped me realize what was being done when I was not there at the home and he had everything under control. That made me feel extremely confident in choosing Servpro to do this demolition and rebuild. There were changes that I made during the rebuild that I paid for out of pocket but he was extremely good at telling me exactly the cost of each thing that I wanted changed. There were never any surprises. David Corey was extremely good at educating me on every step of this process and everything he told me was exactly the truth and there was no confusion ever in the process of bringing my home back to reality again. He is extremely knowledgeable about everything and all the steps involved and how everything comes together. From the beginning I was told this entire process would take 6 to 8 months and It took exactly 7 months and I was back in my home. My home is gorgeous and everything happened exactly as David told me it would. My State farm agent Brooke Seale, has also worked with Servpro to make this all a very smooth time for me. I hope I never have to go through anything like this again, but if I should, I would certainly use Servpro and ask for David Cory to help me with the process. Thanks for everything, Cathy Whitt Mt.
