5 Star Review By R McNally
Not busy at all on a Wednesday morning in November. Our 8'x10' thin profile area rug from Amazon went in for a wash and the machine handled it like a champ. The huge washing machines (8 & 9) advertise they can handle 9 loads of laundry, and they cost $11 . The huge dryers that advertise they can handle up to 8 loads of laundry cost $2.00 for the first 24 minutes and $0.25/4 minutes after that. The area rug was still a tiny bit damp, but certainly dry enough to go home and finish up on the back deck in the sun since I missed my window to extend the dry-time after checking on it. Definitely where I'll come again in the future when I need to wash anything large. Good experience over-all. There is a couple who runs the alterations business which is co-located in the laundromat (changing room available) who are on-site to help if you need it. Available: a change machine ($5/10/20 only, no $1), & entire building is cash-only. There is a vending machine, a canned soda machine, and a PacMan videogame if you need 'em. Really reminds me of the place I used to go to with my mom when I was a kid. There are no public or customer bathrooms, and not a ton of parking but it wasn't an issue for me. There is space where you can drive up and load/unload without worry about the traffic on Porter. Also, the nice lady behind the counter immediately took notice of which machine I was planning to use, and saved me from inserting 44 coins into the largest washer by swapping out my quarters for dollar coins. Tight parking and no bathroom would be a .5 ⭐ but Google makes me take the whole thing. Coffee shop down the street and two food trucks nearby if you need a bathroom and/or food/caffeine.
