I can finally hear my microwave beep!!!

Anita has been providing me with hearing solutions since 2009. Prior to that my previous Audiologist had always insisted that I needed molded "in the ear" aids. I hated them. Anita fitted me with my first Widex BTE aids and they not only helped my hearing, but resolved my complaints about comfort etc. As my hearing continued to deteriorate, she gave me annual hearing tests and continued to adjust my volume and programming as needed. Finally my Widex aids were just not providing enough volume for me anymore and I knew it was time to upgrade to more powerful aids. Anita recommended the new Phonak Onida aids with bluetooth technology. I have had them about a month now have just been blown away by how great they are. I can hear sounds that I have not been able to hear in years. Anita gave me several programs that drastically reduce background noise and only amplify sounds coming from the direction I am facing. For years I missed so much of the conversation at parties and dinners and movies that I just quit going. I always had to have caption on the TV and my wife hates it. But these new aids have solved a lot of these problems for me. I no longer have trouble hearing spoken words in a group setting and can watch most TV programs without caption. Yes, I still have some challenges, but these Phonak aids are absolutely incredible. Well worth the price. Thanks to Anita and Phonak, I can hear again!!<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />

    Careful, thorough diagnostics and hearing aid fitting

    Anita takes time to evaluate thoroughly her clients’ hearing losses, and then fits and sets up the appropriate hearing aids. Her follow up appointments address issues as they come up, rather than simply turning users loose to figure out how to work their hearing aids. My aids are incredible. I hear so much better, and love the natural tonality of what I hear. I am grateful for Anita’s experience and skill.

    My New Hearing Aids Are Fabulous

    I first got hearing aids 3 years ago. While they were very helpful, my hearing continued to decline and I needed to replace them with a new model and prescription a few weeks ago. The improvement in my quality of life has been astounding! Not only is my hearing really really good now, I am feeling more energized, clear headed, and engaged in life. Conversations are much easier and more delightful and, being able to hear all the sounds of daily life (from movies to bird songs), I just feel more awake. I am so grateful for the highly professional help provided by Anita Carroll!

    They have changed my life.

    I had been to see two audiologists before seeing Anita Carroll. Both told me that even though I was experiencing some hearing loss in the higher ranges, hearing aids wouldn't do much for me. The difference at Hearing Solutions is that I was encouraged to bring my wife in with me, so she could talk about her experience with my hearing loss. Anita thought hearing aids could help, and she was right: they have changed my experience of being in the world. It's as if they've opened up new spaces in my brain I didn't know were there. I can hear and think more clearly. I have more energy, because it's hard to work at hearing, and now I don't have to work as hard. None of this was I aware of or prepared for. It's the best thing I've done for myself (and my wife) in a long, long time.

    Transformative!

    Dr Carroll thoroughly tested/evaluated my hearing loss and fitted me with Phonak hearing aids. These aids were programmed specifically for my sound spectrum loss. I now can participate in conversations in noisy restaurants as well as hearing chirping birds in the woods! Never realized what I had been missing. What is it worth to be able to clearly hear again?

    Bluetooth hearing aids are fantastic

    I am so glad I followed Anita's advice and got the newer technology hearing aids with the bluetooth feature. I was having trouble hearing on the phone and the bluetooth technology resulted in a big improvement. I also love being able to cook while talking on the phone since my hands are free.
