The criminal justice system was designed to be blind and objective. However, the truth is that imperfect, even corrupt, people will prosecute, with the full force of the government, an innocent person. David D. Smith is one attorney you want on your side to present the defense of your innocence. Regardless of your case, the upshot is everyone has a constitutional right to a competent defense.
