The community need make use of this place more. They offer business classes for those wishing to start their own business. They host Jubilee jobs which not only offers job opportunities but also includes felons ( they too are people and need to improve their lives if there is any chance that they do not go back to where they were before). They offer counseling on how to get a house. Overall, one of the best resources in town which is underused!
This is a community resource building that houses Jubilee Jobs among other services. Jubilee Jobs is a faith based community resource that aids the unemployed overcome obstacles that otherwise would prevent one to find work. Jubilee Jobs is sponsored by Southland Christian Church. This two week training program aids in identifying problem areas such as resume writing, interviewing skills workshop, conflict resolution workshop, and job referrals. This is not an employment agency or a quick fix. However, if you are willing to do what is asked of you long term steady employment can be obtained. I would encourage anyone who is having a difficult time securing employment give these wonderful people a call.
