Great place to take the family
The rolls are out of this world. The meals are huge. Good drink selection. Fun atmosphere. This is where the locals go -- consistently good food.

The prime rib chili on Mondays with the house rolls is one of the best inexpensive meals in town. Tasty, meaty, not sweet, just zippy enough. There are many other good things on the menu--could easily make a meal on the buffalo chicken wings, and...More
I'm not from Salem, but have visited friends there often and have had lunch at the Best Little Roadhouse several times. The restaurant is quite large with different rooms available: a main dining room, a lounge area and a kind of sun room which is...More
Had the most delicious pulled pork sandwich ever. Lots of pork on a hoagie bun, with cole slaw spread on top of the pork. Cheese and tomato topped that. It was "melt in your mouth delicious". The building has a lot of ambiance, very comfortable...More
The food is decent, don't get me wrong... But the prices are incredibly inflated for what the actual product is. The restaurant has an air of status and snobbery - both the clientele and waitstaff. I don't feel "trendy" (aka rich with weekly salon-trip hair)...More
Lunch here is enough for a whole day. The dinner rolls are super, servings are definitely generous. The staff are always friendly and efficient. Prices are very reasonable.
Great food, great staff. I always order a sirloin with a sweet potato. The dining room is very noisy, but not so bad in patio seating.
1st off, this IS NOT a chain restaurant. This is locally owned. 2ndly, I have been eating here for 5 years, sometimes 2-3 times a week, because their happy hour food is still $3.00 and made fresh for you. Their pork bbq ribs are "a...More
Would have given it an excellent rating if they had more fresh, local ingredients in their menu. The friendly service and Salmon Salads keep bringing us back!!
My husband and I came to this place because we had a free coupon for a free appetizer. We decided to go on a Thursday night at about 7:30 PM. When we got there the place was packed! We figured this was a good thing....More
I have gone to every place in Salem that offers ribs, and the Best Little Roadhouse is by far the best. The meat literally falls off the bone and their watermelon BBQ sauce is incredibly. Its sweet with a kick of spicy and compliments the...More
There is a reason you have to wait to get a table. Good food, great service and lots going on. Because there is so much activity at Best Little Roadhouse it actually is quite private. The fries and rolls are great and the refills on...More
Our family has a variety of appetites, some who eat only fish and some steak lovers, and we all love a meal here. The service is quite good while being non-intrusive. My favorite is the Salmon Caesar Salad and Garlic Potato Mashers. In cooler weather...More
Soft, rich homemade rolls. Salad that is perfectly chilled and topped with tomatoes and bacon. Baked sweet potato with butter and brown sugar. And then there are the entrees....
The Roadhouse is everything you want in a casual restaurant! The staff is friendly (they actually remember you, and give great service!) the atmosphere is fun and encourages conversation, and the menu is varied. There are many choices that transition easily from lunch to dinner....More
I have had dinner here numerous times and everytime it is a pretty pleasant experience. The food is pretty good and you get a decent amount for what you pay for. I would definately recommend any of the tri tip meals because they are pretty...More
Always a good place to eat. You can tell by the parking lot, it's hard to find a place to put your car. The salads are the bomb! The rolls are the BEST! I LOVE the Prime Rib. The soups are always good (try the...More
It's like Outback or any other chain steakhouse. The food is good but it's coming off an assembly line. There's nothing special or creative about it. Don't know why it's ranked #10.
I brought my girls to eat at the Best Little Roadhouse and they had fun! Food was good--especially the rolls!
It's not cheap, but so worth it! I'm sure you can get good deals but I wouldn't know since we always go for nice cuts of steak. The food is delicious, the portions generous, staff so friendly and attentive, and the longest wait we've had...More

“The staff has always treated us well, and it's always a wonderful time going there for a family get-together or even an office party and playing some minigolf afterwards”
