While many people head out of town for Labor Day weekend, many more have a staycation during the long weekend and are looking for fun things to do. So, we thought we’d put a list of a few ideas together for you.
Oregon State Fair Activities
This is the last weekend of the Oregon State Fair, and there is a lot going on
- Beach Boys Concert at the Oregon State Fair Saturday 7pm
- Dia de la Familia at the Oregon State Fair Sunday 10am
- Motor Mania at the Oregon State Fair Sunday 2 PM – 4 PM
- Gerry Frank Memorial Chocolate Cake Contest at the Oregon State Fair (presented by the Salem Area Chamber of Commerce) Sunday 2pm
Labor Day Weekend Festival At Redhawk Winery
Live music, food, and wine.
Day Hike To Silver Creek Falls
The beauty of Silver Creek Falls is amazing. The weather looks good for this weekend, so get out of the house and head over to this natural Willamette Valley treasure.
Salem Saturday Market
While not a Labor Day exclusive event, if you haven’t been out to the market yet this year, this weekend would be a great opportunity to get out and support all of the local vendors who work so hard to bring us local all season.
Chomp Chocolate Factory Private Tour
If you haven’t had a chance to experience the Chomp Chocolate factory, this is a great opportunity. Their chocolate is amazing! Chomp! Private Tour & Tasting Saturday 11am-3pm
