Watch Night with Mary D. Williams

The City of Raleigh Museum, the Pope House Museum along with the Friends of the City of Raleigh Museum will be hosting Watch Night with Mary D. Williams and the Martin Luther King Jr All Children’s Choir. 

Williams, a renowned singer, historian, and educator will educate, edify, and electrify listeners with music of the past. This music will include songs about hardship, self-determination, and emancipation.

Cary Downtown Farmers Market 

The Cary Downtown Farmers Market has been getting fresh since 1996! Today it hosts local farmers from within a 100 mile radius of downtown Cary. These growers stick to environmental best practices, using minimal fertilizers and chemicals, including no post-harvest chemicals. And, they practice responsible methods of raising meat animals, and near-organic methods of growing crops. In additional to local farmers, you’ll also get to discover and sample the products of local artisans such as coffee roasters, bakers, and craftsmen. Together, the vendors that make up the Farmers Market share a passion for fresh and local products!

NC Chinese Lantern Festival

Don’t miss the Chinese Lantern Festival from now through January 14. Artisans have crafted more than 40 all new displays for this year’s show, each one comprised of hundreds of parts, and thousands of LED lights.
