Cary Town Band Presents “On My Mind: Memories, Dreams, and Fantasy”

The Cary Town Band is a wind ensemble that performs free concerts and provides free musical entertainment at civic and community events. This Friday, they’ll perform a free concert, “On My Mind – Memories, Dreams, and Fantasies”. The performance will include music from fantasy movies and TV shows and a special performance of The Lord of the Rings Symphony by Dutch composer Johan de Meij.

The Triangle Wind Ensemble is an adult wind ensemble. Since 1999, many of the area’s most talented wind and percussion players have joined together weekly to practice and perform an exciting range of music for audiences in both formal and informal settings. This Sunday, the Triangle Wind Ensemble performs an energetic and interactive children’s concert that will get everybody dancing to the beat! The Cary Downtown Farmers Market has been getting fresh since 1996! Today it hosts local farmers from within a 100 mile radius of downtown Cary. These growers stick to environmental best practices, using minimal fertilizers and chemicals, including no post-harvest chemicals. And, they practice responsible methods of raising meat animals, and near-organic methods of growing crops. In addition to local farmers, you’ll also get to discover and sample the products of local artisans such as coffee roasters, bakers, and craftsmen. Located at 160 E.
