On Holy Monday, we recall Jesus’ cleansing of the temple. As He entered the temple area, Jesus found merchants and money changers taking advantage of the worshipers.

In righteous anger, He overturned their tables and said, “My house shall be called a house of prayer, but you are making it a den of robbers” (Matthew 21:13).

Promise of God: God will dwell with His people in a new and perfect temple. Scripture: Revelation 21:3 – “And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.'”
